MANY GIFTS, ONE SPIRIT
A Call for Entries
May 25 - July 12, 2008
Synod Hall, Trinity Cathedral, Trenton

“Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of working, but it is the same God who inspires them all in every one.”    1 Corinthians 12 : 4-6

Rejoice in your giftedness! Artists have been blessed by God in a particular way. Each one of us has been given a unique visual voice with which to praise and acknowledge the Creator. In the Season of Pentecost, allow the Holy Spirit to inspire you and infuse your art with grace and power!

Who is eligible? Artists 18 years of age or older who are associated with the Episcopal Church in the Diocese of New Jersey are invited to participate. Click here to download the Call for Entries.

What may be submitted? Up to three pieces of original art in any medium, two-dimensional or three-dimensional: painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, fiber art, stained glass, collage, etc. Two-dimensional art must be framed and ready to hang. (Art that has been exhibited previously in Synod Hall is not eligible.)

Deadline for Submissions: Friday, May 2, 2008.

To Submit Images: Although this is not a juried show, due to space limitations, the exhibition committee may need to select only one or two from the pieces you submit. So please click here to download an Entry Form to send along with slides, photos, or digital images, to Ruth Councell c/o Diocese of New Jersey, 808 West State Street, Trenton, New Jersey 08618-5326 by Friday, May 2. (Digital images are preferred!) Your slides and photos will be returned to you. You will be notified which of your pieces will be shown by Wednesday, May 7.

To Deliver Work: Work that is chosen to be in the exhibit should be delivered the Cathedral between Monday, May 19 and Friday, May 23.

Entry Fee: $10 Opening Reception: Sunday, June 1, from 3-5 pm.

Sale of Work: You may choose to offer your work for sale. We ask that 25% of all sales go to the Cathedral. Purchased work must remain in the exhibition until its close.

Security: Although we will exercise the utmost caution to assure that your work is safe and handled with care, neither ECVA nor the Cathedral can be held financially responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged art work.
