Transition Consultants

Congregations in the Diocese of New Jersey in the discernment process for a rector, vicar, or priest-in-charge are to hire a transition consultant trained by the Diocese of New Jersey.

Canon Cecilia Alvarez will supply names of available consultants to be interviewed by the vestry, once the Interim has indicated that the congregation is ready to proceed. A consultant may begin only at the appropriate time in the interim process as determined by the Interim Rector/Vicar and our diocesan office.

Once a decision to hire a consultant is made, a covenant agreement will be signed by the vestry and transition consultant and reviewed by the diocese.

For questions regarding the process, please contact the Canon Cecilia Alvarez at calvarez@newjersey.anglican.org.
