226th Convention of the Diocese of New Jersey

Nominating Committeee

August 20, 2009

To the Clergy and Congregations of the Diocese of New Jersey

Dear Friends,

It is time, once again to call your attention to the upcoming nominations for offices at the 2010 Diocesan Convention.

In accordance with Canon 5, Section 3 of the Constitutions and Canons of the Diocese of New Jersey, a list of the offices to be filled by the election of the 226th Diocesan Convention is available as a PDF. You can submit a Nomination Recommendation online or download a PDF  of the Nomination Recommendation form and the Nominating Committee members.

The Nominating Committee requests that clergy and lay leadership of the congregations of this Diocese review the lists of offices to be filled by election and recommend candidates appropriate for those offices.

We continue to be so very thankful for those who have served ably and well in the past and may choose to serve again. We also welcome those who have not served before and may be willing to serve in one or more of the open positions.

Please fill out (online or PDF) Nomination Recommendation Form for persons whom you recommend. Submit it to the address below by no later than October 15, 2009. Please take note to provide a statement of qualification in 75 words or less, as the statement is not provided by the committee. All names submitted will be placed in the nomination process. The blank form (PDF) may be copied. Please make this material known and available to your congregation.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me or any member of the Nominating Committee. As always, it is a pleasure to serve you. We look forward to assisting you in whatever way possible for this very important part of our life in the Diocese of New Jersey.

Very truly yours,

The Reverend Petrina M. Pyatt
Chair, Nominating Committee
